Great bag, great price October 2, 2008
This bag is great for what I need. It's smaller than my big messenger bag but if I need to I can still fit my laptop (in it's soft case) in the bag with a book or two.
The velcro is a little weak (under the buttons) but mine is holding just fine so far- and if it goes I'll sew it back or buy the iron -on velcro. The shoulder strap is wide and the strap can be made really long or really short (what I want). It's great if you're looking for a lightweight, rather sturdy casual canvas bag.

the bag amazon describes is the same except the color is NOT khaki. I don't know if they're color blind or not but when i asked the seller if the bag was khaki they said yes. they also changed the description of the bag "tan canvas bag, khaki, etc." but it's not khaki try OLIVE green insead. and shipping was slow too. what a rip off. I'm returning mine.

Purchased this bag for my daughter who is a full time collage student, had it shipped to her for a surprise, when she recieved it, she was thrilled, liked it so much better than her old broken one. very nice quality for the price

I was impressed (sarcasm intended.) That w/in 2 months the buttons fell-off when the 2 pockets close via velcro thus the buttons are for looks only; had the buttons been for use one they probably would've fallen off in 2 days; it is so cheap to sew on a button yet so expensive to have a customer not return I fail to see why companies think they're saving $ by skipping this one trait. I like the bag but, as I didn't, like so many products, buy it to sew the buttons on securely, they lost my biz
A good bag January 9, 2008
The bag is smaller than I thought; it is not a large bag. I do not know the volume specifications, but it is way smaller than I thought it was looking at the picture. Those faux buttons on the front are velcro and somewhat cheap-looking and feeling. Nonetheless, I am happy with the bag and it has proven rugged. 4 stars out of 5
