 Heavy runner's long distance shoe August 18, 2008
I weigh 190, size 8.5 - 9 feet, and had leg and knee pain with Asics and other store recommended shoes. The beast by Brooks has been the shoe I've comfortably worn now for several months and the pains have nearly disapeared. I run more than 20 miles per week consistently and they are holding up great. I ran 15 miles in them 2 days ago feeling great. 1st Marathon, here I come.
One problem was a piece of decorative rubber pressed against my foot, just behind my big toe. It's on the exterior of the shoe and looks like a little swoop. I used an exacto knife to cut it off and the rubbing stopped. I'll be buying more of the Beast.

These are the only shoes my feet will wear! They are supportive, comfy and perfect for someone who has to be on their feet all day!

The Beast is the best shoe for me. Being heavier than most heavy runners (260 pounds), the support and cushioning is very important. I've been running in the Beast shoes for several years now and haven't had any problems. These shoes arrived on time and were the correct size and color.

I have bad plantar fasciitis. The Brooks beast has been consistantly the best shoe for me. The sizes, performance and durability are always consistant.
