Great looking recipes but very little magic from the hosts April 1, 2010 Kristine Beaves (WA USA) Colleen Patrick-Goudreau and Alka Chandna seem to really know what they're talking about and have some great ideas about vegetarian cooking, with tips and tricks for the newby cook.
My main issue with the DVD was the lack of connection between the two hosts. Alka was very task oriented while Colleen let her passion for cooking really come through. From one cooking segment to the next, they also tended to repeat themselves about substitutions and little factoids.
However, I really liked this DVD, which had blurbs about misconceptions about vegetarian nutrition and alternative products. I'm going to try one of the recipes tonight, and I hope all goes well.
Great product for vegetarian March 4, 2009 E. Ofosu (Georgia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

This DVD plays fine in Portugal June 30, 2008 Vítor Domingos De Azevedo (Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
When I placed my order for this DVD, I got a message stating that some DVD's are region encoded (DRM) and don't play in other regions of the world. I can now tell for sure that this DVD plays fine in my Mac, here in Portugal. I had no problem with the region setting of the DVD player, so i suppose that this is a region-free DVD (and that just makes sense!)...
Great work, Colleen!
Vegetarians, buy this and loan out to family, friends April 1, 2008 K. Lisson (Albany, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Vegetarian Cooking is a wonderful resource video!
Purchase this video if you need cooking ideas for a new vegetarian in the house or a vegetarian coming for dinner.
Chefs Colleen Patrick-Goudreau and Alka Chandna provide great information on tofu in the stir fry recipe segment and preview a variety of whole grains when preparing their Hearty Three-Bean Chili. The recipe for Harvest Stuffed Acorn Squash is a great Thanksgiving day treat for vegetarians and the whole family.
Awesome - recipes taste and look great! LOVE her style! December 28, 2007 Vegan Traveler 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't say enough about how this Collen has helped me make the transition from a "non red meet" eating vegetarian for 20 years to a full vegan. I bought this dvd after subscribing to her podcasts in itunes. My favorite book is still "the china study" but Colleen is helping me become a compasionate vegan. It isn't all about choosing not to eat meat but how to change your life style. I was once unaware and uninformed of the abuse to animals. She teaches us how to be kind and how to tolerate those who are still uninformed. I also have to add that she takes the mystery out of "What do vegans eat?". Her recipes not only taste awesome but LOOK fantastic.
