Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! August 3, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
An absolutely delightful book! If you are looking for something MORE than just bean recipes, if beans stir within you curiosity and adventure, you've come to the right place!
The author devotes the first third of the book giving a history lesson, a botany lesson, an anthropology lesson, and even throws in some gorgeous photography. Of BEANS!
And there are some mouth-watering recipes, too. I'm so glad I bought this book!
Great Stuff April 4, 2000 23 out of 26 found this review helpful
The most detailed book on beans I have seen, from history, to growing, to cooking. Lovely detail in the book, the photos are magnificent, and the recipes are excellent too. Would like to have seen the temperatures used, in Celcius as well as Fareheit.
