Product Description
Witty, one-of-a-kind imaginative cupcake designs using candies from the local convenience store.

America's favorite food photography team, responsible for the covers of America's top magazines, shows how to create funny, scary, and sophisticated masterpieces, using a zipper lock bag and common candies and snack items. With these easy-to-follow techniques, even the most kitchen-challenged cooks can

• raise a big-top circus cupcake tier for a kid's birthday
• plant candy vegetables on Oreo earth cupcakes for a garden party
• trot out a line of confectionery "pupcakes" for a dog fancier
• serve sausage and pepperoni pizza cupcakes for April Fool's Day
• bewitch trick-or-treaters with chilly ghost chocolate cupcakes
• create holidays on icing with turkey cupcake place cards, a white cupcake Christmas wreath, and Easter egg cupcakes

No baking skills or fancy pastry equipment is required. Spotting the familiar items in the hundreds of brilliant photos is at least half the fun.

5 out of 5 stars Best Book EVER!   January 8, 2009
This was probably my favorite Christmas gift this year. I had heard about the book but didn't know the magic inside. The best part is that you are creating from items you can find at most grocery stores, no special materials or ingredients necessary. Also, it is written in a way that improvisation is ok, you don't worry about the finished product being 'exactly' right, in fact, the nuances in creation are all part of the fun. Great images, easy to follow directions, genius ideas- I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up!

5 out of 5 stars My cupcakes sold well at the bake sale   January 3, 2009

I really enjoyed the ideas in this book. Many of them were simple enough that I, a non-baker, could use them. I did visit their website and made the 'acorn nut' cupcakes also. They were the most popular. My mom made the acorn cupcakes for her garden club meeting and they were the talk of the meeting.

this book is full of fun, cute, and seemingly simple decorating ideas. my sister and i have already made the spaghetti and meatballs (soooo easy- and real looking) and the birthday cake. the outcome is funky, colorful, and very pleasing... much better looking treats than my past attempts working with just frosting ;-)

5 out of 5 stars A perfect gift for a baker   December 30, 2008

This book is fabulous. So many fun designs/characters/animals you can create with cupcakes in the comfort of your own kitchen. In my opinion, the best cupcake book on the market, and one of the best baking books out there in general.

My Daughter-in-law was extremely excited and delighted with this book. She and my grandson spent a long time perusing this book. Her Mother ask to review the book also. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
