Product Description This frank exploration of why our bodies pass gas is as playful as it is factual. Bright, simple line illustrations and informative text shatter a traditional taboo and demystify one of the bodily functions with which your child is, no doubt, all too frequently amused by.

cute book May 18, 2009 This is a cute book to explain a "tabu" topic to your kids.... it's funny, but biological and matter of fact. The only thing is it's really for an older child that can read books that are kind of long and understand more complicated concepts and words. My 1 1/2 yr old loves "Everyone Poops" and I thought this was similar but it's completely different, better for a 6 or 7 yr old.
Sneaking Science into Body Humor May 13, 2009 Another My Body Science book in the spirit of Everyone Poops. It's more descriptive and explanatory, though, meaning it fits the 4-8 crowd better than 0-4. I have boys, but I presumably all small children are entertained by flatulence; this book capitalizes on this by providing humorous images of animals and people passing gas, while giving an introduction to the digestive process that produces it. There is one image of nudity, with two people passing gas in a bathtub, and a little boy is shown from the front. Parents who object to the word "fart" can easily fill in a more polite alternative, except for the "fartheewell" ending. The humor is mildly rude so I don't recommend leaving this within arm's reach if your children are in the habit of asking company for a read-aloud.

Nice job on the book. How can people not like books about farts? Check out the lastest by Bach Anon called Dropping Almonds to see how poop serves as a good metaphor in corporate America.
Technical for kids October 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It gets into a lot of really science-y stuff for a kids book, but its still a hoot and a holler. If I could get all the books in this series in a boxed set I would because they're so funny and will actually teach kids.
A More Advanced Book than I'd Anticipated August 13, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really thought that this book would appeal to my 2 year old, who I am potty training. I was wrong. This book is really more for a 5 year old or possibly older. After all, what school age kid doesn't think that farting is hilarious. The pictures are great, but the story isn't appealing for small kids.
