easy to follow recipes, simple directions. June 1, 2010 veganll (usa) research (colin campbell's book: the china study) show that this is the way to health. it's not easy to follow this diet, but the mcdugalls make it simple.
OPRAH, DR. OZ ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?!!!! April 19, 2009 Ondine Marie (California) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
What we need is for Oprah and Dr. Oz to develop a series of new programs featuring our Dr. John McDougall with some of his colleagues to add credibility heft for those who would try to pooh-pooh just one knowledgable professional's proof-filled findings. After years of living this program with a high degree of success, I often wonder when Dr. Oz will push to have the real answers brought to the public via Oprah's show.
Surely, he is aware of Drs. John McDougall, Neal Barnard, Dean Ornish, Caldwell Esselstyn, T. Colin Campbell, Joel Fuhrman and the many other physicians and Phd. degreed researchers who have better results from their findings...than the YOU programs he and Dr. Michael Roisen have developed. He is so popular now that he endorses many, many authors who aren't any where near as effective as Dr. McD.
Come on Oprah...take Dr. McDougall to Oz!!!
Good and Interesting December 10, 2008 J. Eberhard (Denver, CO) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have enjoyed cooking health items for my family from this book. Some are a stretch for our normal habits, but I think that's good. Forces us to be good about the intake of our food.
Just what I was looking for November 30, 2008 Russell L. Schurbon 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Having just recently started a low fat, low sodium, plant based diet this is just what I have been looking for. Being a meat and potatoes all my life I had no clue as to where to go as far as recipes.
Yummy! November 22, 2008 Lorraine Avendaño (Ontario, Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy recipes, nothing complicated. Most of the ingredients are ordinary things that most people already have in their kitchen, and anything a little out of the ordinary is easy to find at the supermarket.
The recipes are very low-fat, but full of flavour. The desserts are not overly sweet, just enough to satisfy that little craving.
