Amazon.com Review This manual-style book instantly dives into Eckhart Tolle's principles of "living in the moment," which could be a jarring experience for readers who haven't read his preceding book, The Power of Now. For the initiated, though, this makes an excellent companion guide--rich in exercises and meditations to help readers get out of their minds so they can live more peacefully in their bodies. Sometimes it's hard to fathom what on earth Tolle is talking about: "To regain awareness of Being and to abide in that state of 'feeling-realization' is enlightenment." Be patient. All concepts will be revealed (or at least more carefully explained). Ultimately, Tolle leads readers into a new form of thinking (or actually not thinking) that erases the consuming habits of waiting, worrying, and being in fear. The first step is ending the "delusion of time." He asks, "Are you always trying to get somewhere other than where you are? ... Is most of your doing just a means to an end?" If so, Tolle has a book full of advice for you. As simplistic as this may sound, Tolle's work has spiritual merit and depth, especially for frantic Westerners who find their lives diminished by packed schedules and busy-ness. --Gail Hudson
Product Description In The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle shared the enlightenment he himself experienced after a startling personal transformation. This book extracts the essence of his teachings about how to free oneself from enslavement to the mind. His views go beyond any particular religion, doctrine, or guru. The goal is to be able to enter into and sustain an enlightened state of consciousness throughout everyday life. Through meditations and simple techniques, Eckhart shows readers how to quiet their thoughts, see the world in the present moment, and find the truest path to happiness.

"Live in the moment." January 9, 2009 Practicing the Power of Now: Essential Teachings, Meditations, and Exercises from The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle this book teaches you how to "live in the moment." There are many meditations and exercises to practice so readers will can live peacefully in their bodies. You will eventually regain the awareness of "Being." It's a new form of thinking and it takes a little time to understand. If you are leaning toward a more spiritual way of healing yourself may I suggest a down to earth book on the miracle of God and who exactly He is, and what you will do in the after-life then I suggest you read a great book entitled "The Enlightenment, What God Told Me After One Million Prayers: A Message for Everyone," by John H. Eagan. It brought me to tears. It's great and also deals with Jesus' Passion. I think if you liked Tolle's book you will love this book.
Practising The Power of Now January 6, 2009 In my opinion this is a useful daily tool for all those who follow Tolle's work. If one follows these simple practices diligently the reader will obtain most from the writer's books . The writing is clear ,the directions are simple and I can only recommend it highly providing the reader has read and grasped the concept i 'The Power of Now'
Practicing The Power Of Now December 10, 2008 This is an overview of the major points and a great tool to remind us of the riches in the original Power of Now. I like it very much but I recommend you be familiar with the original text prior to listening to this audiobook. I think it is well worth the price for alittle peace in your life.

I like being able to find a specific excerpt in this book rather than looking in The Power of Now. It is much easier for me to do this. I find myself saying over and over that all we have is NOW. Eckhart Tolle is my favorite author.
You might like these books November 21, 2008 If you are a deep material reader then you may really enjoy Rumi & Self Psychology (Psychology of Tranquility) and also another book Sara's Therapy: A Way to Purity. These books are unique, easy to read, full of information, and just amazing; and you can not put them down.
