Sprout Creek Farm is a 200 acre working farm in Dutchess County, New York. They make their cheese from the rich and creamy milk of their herd of grass-fed Jersey, Guernsey, Milking Shorthorn and Brown Swiss cows, free from artificial hormones and antibiotics. Their artisanal cheeses are made in the age-old tradition of European farmstead cheese using a method that merely enhances the innate qualities of the milk. One of our favorites is Toussaint. Made from grass-fed cow's milk and using vegetarian rennet, this cheese is firm and pronounced in flavor with a sharp bite and a lingering finish. Toussaint truly shines on its own or when complemented by a New York State pinot noir.Sprout Creek Farm provides an integrated context for educational and spiritual development programs for young people and adults.
